For a reminder of a different time in NYC history, check out the Keith Haring show at the Brooklyn Museum, which opened just recently. I made the trip over to Kings County to check it out. If you lived in a Manhattan rental apartment in the late-1970s to mid-1980s, you remember it well: the rawness [...]

Last week I wrote about several apartment living tips that I felt you might find useful. The internet is constantly divulging good advice and thoughtful tips through its never-ending supply of smart, savvy experts and the people who ask them questions. Here then, is part 2 of my recent roundup of apartment living tips that [...]
What’s that you say? You’ve never heard of Hudson Square in Manhattan? Take solace in the fact that you’re not alone. Hudson Square does exist, and it’s not a new made-up nabe… it’s been around for quite some time. It’s bounded by Houston Street (and the West Village) to the north, Sixth Avenue–some would argue [...]
Talk to 5 different people, and you may get 5 different opinions on living in Harlem. What is Urban Edge?
Urban Edge is a FREE no fee apartment website. Apartments for rent are listed by the owners, property managers, and leasing agents. Many of them connect their database directly to ours, so you're not looking at listings that have already been rented.
Here's what you WON'T find: bait and switch ads, brokers pretending to be owners, the same apartment posted by 20 different agents, and scam postings. How, you ask, do we do that?
This is how: no one posts an apartment for rent without their account first being approved by our top notch staff, trained to sniff out evil-doers (and brokers charging a fee).
Nabes we cover: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, Staten Island, Westchester County, Nassau County, Northern New Jersey (Hudson, Bergen and Essex Counties), and Fairfield County in CT.
