We’re heading into some of the hottest months of the year for the NYC rental apartment market (figuratively and literally), as recent college graduates from all over planet try their hand at life in the best city in the world. As you can imagine, this annual influx, which runs from now through the fall, of [...]

3 Things to Consider When Apartment Hunting in NYC

When looking for a no fee rental apartment anywhere in New York City–and even across the river in such northern New Jersey neighborhoods as Jersey City and Hoboken–we can’t stress enough how important it is to be ready to sign a lease on the spot. With inventory hitting record lows and people even offering more [...]

New York City may be a great place to live, but it’s one major drawback is the high cost of housing. Until readily available (and totally affordable) micro-apartments become a reality–or until the world decides that every job deserves banker-sized bonuses–we all have to figure out ways to live in this beautiful, thrilling city without [...]

The Manhattan Micro Apartment Movement Gathers Steam, Might Actually Happen

Price-wise, the news for NYC rental apartments dwellers and seekers continues to be bad. • What is Urban Edge?

Urban Edge is a FREE no fee apartment website. Apartments for rent are listed by the owners, property managers, and leasing agents. Many of them connect their database directly to ours, so you're not looking at listings that have already been rented.

Here's what you WON'T find: bait and switch ads, brokers pretending to be owners, the same apartment posted by 20 different agents, and scam postings. How, you ask, do we do that?

This is how: no one posts an apartment for rent without their account first being approved by our top notch staff, trained to sniff out evil-doers (and brokers charging a fee).

Nabes we cover: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, Staten Island, Westchester County, Nassau County, Northern New Jersey (Hudson, Bergen and Essex Counties), and Fairfield County in CT.
