After Hurricane Sandy wrecked havoc and disaster all over the city’s waterfront areas–or, at least, all over the lower-lying areas; this is, after all, a city in which four of the five boroughs are islands, so plenty of waterfront property is safely out of harm’s way–there was some talk about slowing down, or rethinking, a [...]

New York City may be a great place to live, but it’s one major drawback is the high cost of housing. Until readily available (and totally affordable) micro-apartments become a reality–or until the world decides that every job deserves banker-sized bonuses–we all have to figure out ways to live in this beautiful, thrilling city without [...]
As has been widely reported–and, as anyone searching for a Brooklyn rental apartment already knows–the cost of renting in the great Borough of Kings went through the roof in 2012. In fact, in such sought-after places as Williamsburg and DUMBO, mean rental prices actually passed most of Manhattan neighborhoods. Just to throw out a couple [...]

What is Urban Edge?
Urban Edge is a FREE no fee apartment website. Apartments for rent are listed by the owners, property managers, and leasing agents. Many of them connect their database directly to ours, so you're not looking at listings that have already been rented.
Here's what you WON'T find: bait and switch ads, brokers pretending to be owners, the same apartment posted by 20 different agents, and scam postings. How, you ask, do we do that?
This is how: no one posts an apartment for rent without their account first being approved by our top notch staff, trained to sniff out evil-doers (and brokers charging a fee).
Nabes we cover: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, Staten Island, Westchester County, Nassau County, Northern New Jersey (Hudson, Bergen and Essex Counties), and Fairfield County in CT.
