The High Line’s great, no question, with its award-winning landscape design, well-curated public art, first-rate food vendors, excellent people watching, and just an overall slightly adventurous feeling of being somewhere a little different than everywhere else. Yes, even now, with the mile-long park non-stop packed with tourists. But what was it like up here on [...]

This is exactly the sort of exhibition that the AIGA National Design Center Gallery does so well: 1) enlist dozens of designers, illustrators, and artists, from all walks of life, and all stages of their careers; 2) give each one the exact same assignment; 3) sit back and watch the amazingness roll in. You see [...]
Culturally savvy Upper West and Upper East Side residents know how to take advantage of the many amazing exhibitions at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Because the Met’s admission price is always suggested, the best way to enjoy this massive, world-class wonderland of art and history is to pop in for about an hour, pay [...]
We’ve known for a while that the days are numbered for Long Island City’s fantastic street-art mecca, 5Pointz. Called the “Aerosol Art Center” by current curator Meres One, this massive old warehouse has for some 20 years now been covered in a constantly-changing collection of pieces by the world’s best graffiti artists. And though this [...]
I’ve been a big fan of French artist JR for a lot of years now, ever since I first came across his soon-to-be-signature massive photographs of people’s faces wheatpasted onto, first, the bridges of Paris, then favela shacks in Rio (below), then decrepit trains in Nairobi. What is Urban Edge?
Urban Edge is a FREE no fee apartment website. Apartments for rent are listed by the owners, property managers, and leasing agents. Many of them connect their database directly to ours, so you're not looking at listings that have already been rented.
Here's what you WON'T find: bait and switch ads, brokers pretending to be owners, the same apartment posted by 20 different agents, and scam postings. How, you ask, do we do that?
This is how: no one posts an apartment for rent without their account first being approved by our top notch staff, trained to sniff out evil-doers (and brokers charging a fee).
Nabes we cover: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, Staten Island, Westchester County, Nassau County, Northern New Jersey (Hudson, Bergen and Essex Counties), and Fairfield County in CT.
