OK, so we set this blog up when we launched the site, with the best of intentions. As you can can see by the paucity of posts below (word-of-the-day: paucity), our good intentions weren’t enough. To be honest, we were so busy with all of the things that go into launching a site and growing it, that writing for the blog took a backseat.

That doesn’t mean we’re done improving the website, or in growing the number of landlords and listings. Just the opposite. However, we–that is the royal we, meaning me–have crossed a few milestones (and items off the to-do list), to the point that we (royal again) feel that the time is now available to devote to regular postings.

You’ll be seeing a new post at least once a week, more often when possible. I’ll try to mix it up between real estate related items, living in NYC topics, and anything else I (and hopefully you) find interesting. I’ll even include guest bloggers from time to time (any volunteers?).

Of course, I’m assuming that someone is actually reading this blog. If you are… get back to work! You probably came across the blog by accident, since the only regular reader is my boss. He’s eternally optimistic… that I’ll actually post something. It’s time to reward his patience.

  • What is Urban Edge?

Urban Edge is a FREE no fee apartment website. Apartments for rent are listed by the owners, property managers, and leasing agents. Many of them connect their database directly to ours, so you're not looking at listings that have already been rented.

Here's what you WON'T find: bait and switch ads, brokers pretending to be owners, the same apartment posted by 20 different agents, and scam postings. How, you ask, do we do that?

This is how: no one posts an apartment for rent without their account first being approved by our top notch staff, trained to sniff out evil-doers (and brokers charging a fee).

Nabes we cover: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, Staten Island, Westchester County, Nassau County, Northern New Jersey (Hudson, Bergen and Essex Counties), and Fairfield County in CT.
