Restaurant Discounts at the Top Restaurants in NYC

Lauren, our resident foodie in the office, is involved with another project that we thought you might be interested in. It’s called the AM Club Card, and most importantly, what it gets you is discounts at restaurants of all types when you dine out. Here’s what Lauren has to say about it:

“Constantly exploring new restaurants and revisiting old favorites in NYC can get expensive very quickly. Luckily, there are quite a few programs and websites out there that offer restaurant discounts. The ones I frequently check are: Scout Mob a daily 50% off deal that you don’t have to pay upfront for; OpenTable Spotlight: $25 for $50 deals posted every few days; and Gilt City: various restaurant deals that are often grouped for two.

Another interesting dining program is the AM Club Card, which I’m personally involved with.

The program was founded by Abigail Michaels Concierge, an experienced concierge group that serves many luxury apartment buildings in New York. The dining program differs from others in that there is an annual fee but you are able to then enjoy discounts of up to 15% at more than 100 top restaurants in NYC. One of the participating restaurants I really enjoyed was Butter Restaurant in NoHo. I’d already eaten dinner elsewhere, but I met up with a friend for cocktails and dessert at Butter. The martinis were creative and strong, and the raspberry beignets served with a vanilla bean dip were absolutely wonderful.

Some other top NYC restaurants I look forward to trying are:

  • Benjamin Steakhouse: I am a huge steak fan and my friend swears this is the best steakhouse in Manhattan. You can visit their AM Club Card page.
  • Artisanal Fromagerie: My co-worker’s favorite place for brunch. Blair Waldorf also mentioned this restaurant in Season 3 of Gossip Girl– definitely a promising sign! Check out their AM Club Card page.
  • A Voce: Sam Sifton from the NYTimes awarded the restaurant 2 stars in 2009.

To sign up for the card, visit the AM Club Card members page. On the website you’ll also find details of the program, as well as a list of participating restaurants that is constantly updated.

You can also activate the card either by emailing concierge@amclubcard.com or calling (212) 784-2390.”

So there you have it, straight from our expert. I can personally vouch for Artisanal. If you like cheese, this is the ultimate. Looks like I’ll have the check out Benjamin Steakhouse… my personal favorite is Del Frisco’s, and I compare the food in all other steakhouses to this one. Eating at top restaurants in NYC can be expensive, so anytime I can get a restaurant discount, I’m psyched. Bon Apetit!

  • What is Urban Edge?

Urban Edge is a FREE no fee apartment website. Apartments for rent are listed by the owners, property managers, and leasing agents. Many of them connect their database directly to ours, so you're not looking at listings that have already been rented.

Here's what you WON'T find: bait and switch ads, brokers pretending to be owners, the same apartment posted by 20 different agents, and scam postings. How, you ask, do we do that?

This is how: no one posts an apartment for rent without their account first being approved by our top notch staff, trained to sniff out evil-doers (and brokers charging a fee).

Nabes we cover: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, Staten Island, Westchester County, Nassau County, Northern New Jersey (Hudson, Bergen and Essex Counties), and Fairfield County in CT.
