One of the many best parts about New York City? No matter how long you’ve lived here, there are always, ALWAYS surprising, pretty, exciting, amazing new things to discover. The city is full of secret streets and hidden gems that most people are not aware of.
Chelsea residents have the easiest access to all of the cultural, culinary, and High Line-related delights that have come to define this pretty, lively west side neighborhood. But still, it’s an easy trip over there for the rest of us as well–with new things to see (and eat) always popping up.

NYC rental apartment residents don’t really need an excuse to go stroll the High Line on a pretty spring or summer day (or night). Despite the inevitable hordes of out-of-towners, hanging on the High Line remains, even after three years since its opening, one of my favorite outdoor activities.
You don’t have to live in a Chelsea apartment to enjoy the Chelsea gallery district; with its more than 400 art galleries packed into a half-mile stretch, this is one of the world’s great concentrations of contemporary art, featuring fantastically rich, museum-quality spaces (Gagosian) as well as plenty of scrappy, street-art-ish spots (Jonathan Levine).
