If you think it sounds cool and interesting to roam around and explore a rusty old ship from the early 1930s well, you’d be right. It IS fun and interesting, as I discovered for the first time last week aboard the Lilac, which was once a working, steam-powered Lighthouse Tender–those were ships that “carried supplies [...]
If you were to pick one object that embodies life here in New York City, what would it be? Not monuments like the Empire State Building surely, or Yankee Stadium, Rockefeller Center, the Brooklyn Bridge… those and a hundred other icons may be emblematic at postcard-y level, but they also really belong to the world. [...]
The Bruce High Quality Foundation is an anonymous collective–all members seem to be named Bruce, coincidentally–with a made-up past (their fictitious founder, Bruce High Quality, died on the attacks of September 11) and a mischievous sense of humor about creating public art spectacles. Imagine for a minute that you’ve found your dream Manhattan rental apartment. The International Center of Photography may not get a lot of hype, but they sure know how to put on a good show. What is Urban Edge?
Urban Edge is a FREE no fee apartment website. Apartments for rent are listed by the owners, property managers, and leasing agents. Many of them connect their database directly to ours, so you're not looking at listings that have already been rented.
Here's what you WON'T find: bait and switch ads, brokers pretending to be owners, the same apartment posted by 20 different agents, and scam postings. How, you ask, do we do that?
This is how: no one posts an apartment for rent without their account first being approved by our top notch staff, trained to sniff out evil-doers (and brokers charging a fee).
Nabes we cover: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, Staten Island, Westchester County, Nassau County, Northern New Jersey (Hudson, Bergen and Essex Counties), and Fairfield County in CT.
