Fordham and Fordham Heights are two adjacent neighborhoods located in the western, central section of the Bronx.

There are plenty of low- to mid-rise apartment buildings in this section, and a few single-famiy homes still grace some of the sidestreets.

Living in Fordham / Fordham Heights

Fordham Road acts as the neighborhoods main thoroughfare, and the largest shopping strip of the entire borough.

Residents of Fordham apartments have easy access to Manhattan via the Metro-North Railroad.  This trip will take passengers into Midtown's Grand Central Terminal in as little as 16-25 minutes. But the commuter train isn't the only option, as the B & D trains run along Grand Concourse, while the number 4 train stops at a few places along Jerome Avenue.
