Flatbush is something of a mega-neighborhood in central Brooklyn, comprised of several smaller areas. Flatbush apartments can be found in such neighborhoods as Prospect Park South, Beverley Square West, Beverley Square East, Prospect-Lefferts Gardens, Ditmas Park, Fiske Terrace and Albemarle-Kenmare Terrace.

NY apartments are available in all sections of Flatbush, and can be found in mid-rise apartment buildings as well as some lovely old brownstones and row houses. Flatbush is bordered by the neighborhoods of Crown Heights to the north, East Flatbush to the east, Kensington and Parkville (formerly known as Greenfield) to the west, and Midwood to the south.

Residents of Flatbush apartments have a fairly quick and painless commute into Manhattan, with multiple stops along the B, Q, 2 and 5 train lines. For recreation, Flatbush residents go to the excellent Prospect Park, designed in 1867 by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux after the duo had completed Manhattan's Central Park. Today, the park still features huge open spaces with playing fields, sunny lawns for relaxing and picnicking, a carousel, boathouse, skating rink, zoo and a bandshell that hosts free concerts all summer long.
