Sunset Park Apartments

There are several available NY apartments within the southern Brooklyn neighborhood of Sunset Park. With its sloping topography and abundant apartment buildings, this area definitely does not lack culture or community life.

Sunset Park is located around the park of the same name.  The area is bordered by Greenwood Heights at the north, Borough Park at the east, Bay Ridge to the south, and New York Bay's waterfront to the west.

With the neighborhood's fairly steep, northwesterly facing slope, Sunset Park provides residents with beautiful sunsets and vistas of Lower Manhattan and the New York Harbor.

This neighborhood is home to a variety of housing options, with many residential streets filled with the traditional, roundstone and brownstone rowhouses. Several Sunset Park side streets are as beautiful as they are shady, and the tree-lined streets complement the area's historic townhouses.

Living in Sunset Park

Residents of Sunset Park apartments always have simple conveniences right at hand. All commercial areas of this neighborhood are easily accessible by foot, although the incline of the streets often makes simple errands a tad more difficult. Accessible by the N & R trains, Sunset Park is fairly far south and not the most accessible area. However, hop on the N & R, and you'll have the ability to transfer to several other subway lines at the MTA's Atlantic Av/Pacific St. transportation hub. But if the subway doesn't reach your Brooklyn destination, there are plenty of crosstown buses that probably do.

Sunset Park's main commerical area is Fifth Avenue, although Fourth, Seventh, and Eighth Avenues provide many local establishments as well. If you are looking for delicious tacos, look no further than Tacos Matamoros on Fifth Avenue. This delicious Mexican restaurant is one of few in New York City that can claim to serve truly authentic Mexican food. But for Sunset Park residents in the mood for a different ethnic flavor, there is Thanh Da, on Seventh Avenue, which serves up delectable Vietnamese sandwiches, among other delicious dishes.
