Melrose is a neighborhood in the South Bronx with several inexpensive NY apartments. This community consists mostly of NYCHA housing projects, along with a few older multi-unit apartment buildings. This area is seeing somewhat of a renewal period, where many new developments are beginning to dot the area.

Living in Melrose

Melrose is home to the ever-popular "Hub", which is one of the Bronx's most visited shopping districts. The Hub is an incredibly busy intersection connecting East 149th Street, Willis, Melrose & Third Avenues, and is constantly filled with prospective shoppers.

Residents of Melrose apartments have access to the numbers 2 & 5 trains at the 3rd Ave - 149th Street Station, where they can catch express trains into Manhattan.
