Flatlands Apartments in Brooklyn

    Flatlands Apartments

Flatlands apartments sit on an area that was originally an 18th century farming community. This neighborhood offers a wide array of housing styles, including single-family houses, semi-detached rowhouses, and low-rise apartment buildings.

The borders of Flatlands is widely disputed among residents, however, the area is generally considered to be south of Flatlands Avenue (and south of East Flatbush), and north of Avenue U (and Marine Park), with Ralph Avenue as the eastern border (and Mill Basin), and Flatbush Avenue as the western border (and Midwood).

    Life in Flatlands

Flatlands is known for its historic past and its existing historic structures from the 18th century. Some of these buildings include one-story homes with pitched gable roofs and chimneys, which act as a reflection of the neighborhood's once-rural atmosphere.

Situated in the southeastern region of Brooklyn, Flatlands apartments aren't the most accessible NY apartments available. However, residents at the north end might be lucky to be within walking distance of the Flatbush Avenue/Brooklyn College subway station that serves the 2 & 5 trains, and residents at the west could access the B & Q trains at Avenue J and Avenue M.
