Prospect Lefferts Gardens Apartments
Prospect Lefferts Gardens is the Brooklyn neighborhood the lies largely to the southeast of Prospect Park.
The area is generally considered to be confined to the west by the Park (and Ocean Avenue), while Empire Boulevard lies to its north, Clarkson Avenue to its south, and New York Avenue to its east.
There is a wide variety of townhouses in the Prospect Lefferts Gardens neighborhoods, many being the historical brownstone style found in the surrounding Brooklyn areas of Park Slope and Prospect Heights. Others are roundstones, but whatever the style, almost every street in this neighborhood is lined with several trees. There are several low- to mid-rise apartment buildings located on the north and west sides of the region, and near its eastern boundaries.
Prospect Lefferts Gardens: Charming & Historical
There are a few benefits to searching this neighborhood for NY apartments is its close proximity to Prospect Park. Although the sunken subway tracks only allow for a few ways to the eastern border (Ocean Avenue), the park offers 585 acres of expansive lawns and nature that are only a few steps away.
Residents of Prospect Lefferts Gardens apartments have a few choices when it comes to public transportation. The B & Q trains are accessible from the Prospect Park Station at the neighborhoods northwest, and the Parkside Avenue station at the neighborhoods southwest. Also servicing the area are the 2 & 5 trains, stopping at Sterling Street Station and Winthrop Street Station, both along Nostrand Avenue.
