Sinai Hospital. The neighborhood also boasts of its presence on upper Museum Mile, with El Museo de Barrio (and its spectacular new $15 million renovation) specializing in Puerto Rican art, right next door the great Museum of the City of New York.

One of New York City's most inspirational street artists, James De La Vega ("Become Your Dream" is just one of his most common messages) displays the bulk of his work in the Spanish Harlem neighborhood. Few Manhattan neighborhoods hold a similar culture and energy that East Harlem so naturally displays.
