Sitting to the east of Queens' gigantic Flushing Meadows-Corona Park is the pleasant Kew Gardens Hills neighborhood. This neighborhood is quite distinct, with the vast majority of buildings being brick single-family homes, semi-detached homes, or garden apartment complexes.

This community truly holds a semi-suburban atmosphere, a feel that is familiar in many othern eastern Queens neighborhoods. Kew Gardens Hills apartments can be found in the area between Forest Hills and Hillcrest, with Briarwood bordering the area to the south, and Queensboro Hill on the northside.

Life in Kew Gardens Hills

Shopping can be accomplished on the few commercial strips, which include Main Street, Union Turnpike, Parsons Boulevard, and Kissena Boulevard. Main Street, in particular, has quite a few eateries; one being Grill Point, which is a local spot for good Middle Eatern and Mediterranean cuisine.

Commuting to Manhattan from this neighborhood isn't too difficult. Serving the Kew Gardens Hills neighborhood is the Kew Gardens-Union Turnpike subway station, where one can catch the E & F trains out to Manhattan (although this trip can take just over 30 minutes once on the train).
