Queens Village Apartments in Queens

    Queens Village Apartments

Affordable NY apartments are available in Queens Village, a residential neighborhood in eastern Queens. Bordered by the neighborhoods of Hollis Hills, Hollis, Bellerose, Floral Park, Cambria Heights and Oakland Gardens, this is a well-kept, low-crime community.

Prices are generally much lower than similar housing in the surrounding area, which makes Queens Village apartments attractive both for long-term residents as well as young families and first-time home buyers.

    Living in Queens Village

Queens Village has a fair amount of NY apartments in mid-rise residential buildings and garden apartment complexes, but the dominant housing stock in the community is single-family free-standing houses, usually smallish colonials, with a scattering of much larger homes, all on modest individual lots. The streets are quiet, with plenty of trees, the homes well-maintained, the community is one that tends to take pride in their home, their block, and their neighborhood as a whole.

    Activities Around Queens Village

Queens Village residents who commute into Manhattan can choose from the Long Island Rail Road (about 35 minutes to Penn Station), or express bus service, or they can drive to work by hopping on the nearby Grand Central Parkway. Lack of good shopping is a fairly common complaint in Queens Village, the main commercial strip of Jamaica Avenue dominated by car-based retailers, rather than family-friendly chains and grocery stores. Most of the public schools are within School District 29, though some parts of Queens Village in the north of the community are served by School District 26.
