East Orange is a town located in Essex County, New Jersey. A fairly residential town, East Orange has single-family homes among several low- and mid-rise apartment buildings.

As one of the four "Oranges", this town is relatively close to Newark. East Orange shares its region with the three towns of "Orange", "South Orange", and "West Orange".

Living in East Orange

Situated where Highway 280 meets the Garden State Parkway, East Orange is rather centrally located when it comes to travelling into New York, Newark, or other directions in New Jersey. When comparing NJ apartments for commuting time, few neighborhoods offer direct trips into Manhattan. Commuters can rely on the NJ Transit train to take them from Brick Church Station to Midtown's Penn Station in as little as 25 minutes.

East Orange has a few small parks of its own, but nothing compared with the Branch Brook Park near its eastern end. This massive greenspace has over 4,000 cherry blossom trees that has brought an annual Cherry Blossom Festival to the park every April.
