Living in the Palisades Park neighborhood of Northern New Jersey

Palisades Park Apartments

Palisades Park is a town in Bergen County located just north of Ridgefield and west of Fort Lee. Most housing stock in the community consists of single-family homes, as well as low- and mid-rise multi-family buildings.

When you think of NJ apartments, one of the first things that comes to mind is "garden apartments", but there are suprisingly few complexes of this kind in town. Rather, many of the available Palisades Park apartments come in duplexes.

Living in Palisades Park

Palisades Park has a great deal of eateries along Broad Avenue, the town's main strip. There are several bakeries and pizza shops along this road, with a handful of highly-rated Korean restaurants. Although residents of Palisades Park apartments can safely run their errands within town, nearby towns can also help with needs. Fort Lee neighbors the town to the east, and is home to the Mall at Oaktree; just a short trip away when the shops along Broad Avenue aren't enough.

But lack of shopping is certainly a non-issue when it comes to a 35 minute trip into Midtown Manhattan. Shoppers and commuters alike will find that living in Palisades Park means a short trip into the city. For those who commute via automobile, just drive 1.5 miles northeast and cross the George Washington Bridge in Upper Manhattan. The trip over the bridge and into Washington Heights takes as little as ten minutes from any corner of town.

But if commuting into the city via public transit is more your thing, just rely on the NJ Transit to get you there quickly. From Palisades Park, the NJ Transit offers bus service into Midtown Manhattan's Port Authority Bus Terminal in under thirty-five minutes.
