Weehawken Apartments

Living in Weehawken apartments means living just a stones throw away from Manhattan. Situated right across the Hudson River from Midtown, Weehawken is where you'll find a place to live with the affordable rents of NJ apartments.

Weehawken is at the southern end of the New Jersey Palisades, which are the majestic cliffs that line New Jersey's coast at the Hudson River. Noted for the location where Alexander Hamilton lost the famous duel against Aaron Burr, these cliffs are now famous for their tremendous, unobstructed views of the Manhattan skyline.

Along the palisades in Weehawken is King's Bluff, a road lined with beautiful, large, and historic homes sharing the ridge with low- to mid-rise apartment buildings. Travelling inland, you'll find more modest, single-family homes, and several low-rise apartment buildings.

Living in Weehawken

The community of Weehawken is on the Hudson waterfront, with NY Waterway ferry service between Port Imperial and 39th Street in Midtown Manhattan. This trip is a fast eight minutes, but at $9.00 per ride, is four times the price of the NYC subway fare. Ferries to Lower Manhattan are also accessible from this waterway terminal. Other public transportation includes the Hudson Bergen Light Rail, which connects to the PATH train, and where rides can be taken into Jersey City or into New York.

But if you prefer to drive to work from your Weehawken apartment, the Lincoln Tunnel has an immediate ramp into, and out of, the community. And if you need to travel about New Jersey, you're always a quick trip to highway 495, which quickly splits into the New Jersey Turnpike and highway 3.

Residents of Weehawken apartments are always nearby fun, excitement, and recreation, be it the roaring nightlife of Manhattan, or the fun bars and restuarants of Hoboken. But, few communites boast a wonderful recreation center like this town. The Weehawken Waterfront Park and Recreation Center is located directly at the river's edge, and is complete with two little league fields, an artificial turf football and soccer field, 400-meter track, tennis courts, a pool, dog run, putting green, boat launch, and multi-purpose rink. But no riverfront park is without its waterfront esplanade, where walkers and joggers can enjoy the Hudson and magnificent Midtown Manhattan skyline.
