Living in the West New York neighborhood of Northern New Jersey

West New York Apartments

Located high atop one of Hudson County's tallest points is the Northern New Jersey town of West New York. This waterfront community is located just north of Weehawken, and directly across the Hudson River from Manhattan's Upper West Side.

West New York apartments come in abundance, several being within both attached and semi-detached rowhouses. Further south lie many multi-family apartment buildings, both large and small.

As the "New York" name might suggest, there are several high-rise apartment buildings bunched near one portion of the waterfront. But West New York's location along the waterfront and atop the New Jersey Palisades provides some spectacular views from the dwellings closest to the cliff's edge.

Life in West New York

The main thoroughfare of the community is Bergenline Avenue, which has been the town's commercial center for well over a century.

Residents of West New York apartments who enjoy taking public transportation into Manhattan can quickly travel to Midtown and Lower Manhattan in a matter of minutes. Also available is the Hudson Bergen Light Rail, which makes a stop at the southern end of town, at the Bergenline Avenue Station. If commuters prefer this method, they can make transfers to the NJ Transit, as well as the PATH trains near Hoboken for easy transit into the city, and throughout surrounding New Jersey.
