Managed by the Phipps Houses Group, this affordable housing property caters to lower and middle income families in Harlem. Located at 128 West 128th Street, the Dempsey Apartments are an excellent example of how affordable housing does not have to equal subpar.

Ranging from studios to one, two and three bedroom apartments, this 79-unit building features spacious apartments with open layouts. The Dempsey Apartments were designed by the noted architects at Dattner Architects and was just completed in 2011. All residents at this complex have access to the community room, a beautiful outdoor sitting area and laundry facilities that are located on-site.

Intended for the use of formerly homeless residents, the Dempsey Apartments also offer discounts to disabled or blind occupants.  Applications can be requested via postcard and returned by regular mail for nay available units.
