Lying just a short distance from its twin facility, the Liberty Green stands at 300 North End Avenue. With a facility as environmentally oriented and spectacular as its sister building, Liberty Luxe, the Liberty Green is LEED Gold certified and was designed by a team of designers committed to merging the concepts of green design and lavish Manhattan conceptions. Built within Battery Park City, Liberty Green follows the neighborhoods history of green inspired living. With photovoltaic panels and Combined Heat & Power units, the Liberty Green generates a significant amount of the facility’s electricity use.  High efficiency hot water units and water-cooled DX air conditioning help to lower the carbon footprint of all who live within the building. Water conservation is carried out through a blackwater system that allows the complex to reuse waste water within the Liberty Green’s cooling system and toilets.  The rooftop is outfitted with indigenous plants in order to lower the buildings heating and cooling loss as well as to insulate the building during the cold months of winter.
