With leasing initiating early 2011, New York by Gehry is the tallest residential tower within the residential hemisphere. At 870 feet, it towers not just physically above its competitors, but figuratively as well. The striking, modernistic silhouette by the towers lends a clue as to the arresting details of the rooms within. Bay windows, panoramic views, and exquisite white oak wood flooring all give the aura of serene luxury.

Concierge and lifestyle services make life at this complex a word class experience. Among these amenities is a fifty foot swimming pool replete with sky lights, a wraparound sundeck, and a state of the art fitness center. Within the fitness center, group classes are taught in a variety of disciplines from yoga to pilates

The exterior of the building is even more impressive than what lies within. Designed by Frank Gehry; in his first residential commission in New York City, the wave like stainless steel walls of the building reflect the varying levels of sunlight throughout the day. The changing exterior helps to shape more than two hundred unique units that all offer both excellent views and a level of privacy.

Gehry's distinctive aesthetic is carried across the interior residential and amenity spaces with custom furnishings and installations. Solar shades keep sun out while preserving the view a water filtration system throughout the building provides clean drinking water. Vertical heating units, and picture windows help to round out the experience at New York by Gehry.

Views from every direction and floor, at all times of the day and throughout the year, are limitless. Intimate perspectives of the Woolworth Building to the west are set against a breathtaking panorama that encompasses of the Hudson River. All five East River bridges and iconic midtown skyscrapers, including the Empire State and Chrysler buildings, unfold along the eastern and northern exposures. Views toward the northern horizon include Central Park and the George Washington Bridge. To the south and east, Manhattan is seen against the backdrop of the New York Harbor and the Atlantic Ocean.

Throughout the 6th, 7th, and 8th floors, residents have exclusive access to indoor and outdoor social and entertainment amenities. On the southern side of the 6th floor the grilling terrace is outfitted with dining cabanas with picnic tables, café seating, and grills. From this terrace residents will enjoy stunning views of Cass Gilbert's classic Woolworth building. The adjacent game room is furnished with custom designed seating by Gehry. On the 7th floor, overlooking City Hall Park to the north, a large Drawing Room with multiple seating areas and a grand piano is located adjacent to a private dining room.

Both can be reserved for residents' events, which can be serviced from a chef's demonstration and catering kitchen. The 8th floor offers a library with a well-curated selection of books and periodicals, a tweens' den, a children's playroom, and a screening room with Gehry-designed amphitheater seating that is also available for private events.

New York by Gehry's health and wellness amenities are filled with natural light and feature expansive Manhattan views. On the 7th floor a 50-foot swimming pool is set within a skylit space surrounded by a series of glass doors that retract fully, creating a seamless expanse of indoor and outdoor spaces from the pool to the wraparound sundeck.

A 3,300 square foot state of the art fitness center with a view of the Brooklyn Bridge and a spa treatment suite are both located on the 7th floor. The 8th floor offers a 1,200 square foot group fitness studio as well as yoga, pilates, and private training studios. Residents also have access to secure bike storage.
