Living in Middle Village

Middle Village has that distinct, semi-suburban Queens atmosphere throughout the neighborhood. Several streets are lined with full, mature trees, that create shady canopies over the roads. This region of land was originally settled in 1816, and four districts in Middle Village are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

If you become a Middle Village resident, you will frequently be taking the M train when travelling into Manhattan. Located at this subway line terminus, this Queens community is lucky to be near the subway, as few central Queens neighborhoods are. But this isn't the only option for commuters living in Middle Village apartments. Five Queens bus lines run through the neighborhood, providing easy public transportation across the borough.

Greenspace isn't far from residents of Middle Village apartments, and Juniper Valley Park is fairly central in the neighborhood. If you are lucky enough to snag an apartment on the south side of the park, you just might get a window or two facing the Manhattan skyline. Several blocks of Middle Village's northeast corner have two-story attached rouses with gorgeous gardens in front.

Shared with the Rego Park neighborhood, Woodhaven Boulevard is one of the neighborhoods commercial districts, and although not centrally located, this thoroughfare has plenty of establishments to serve its residents' needs.
