There are two sorts of New York City rental apartments listed as "No Fee." The first is a No Fee rental apartment that you'll find through a broker, in which case the apartment's owner is paying the Broker's Fee (and probably passing along that amount to the Lessee in the form of higher rent); the second is the "true" NYC No Fee rental, in which the prospective tenant deals directly with landlord. Note: All of the New York City apartments for rent you see here on Urban Edge fall into this category. Because there is no broker involved at all, you pay no fee at all, hidden or otherwise.
